I'm an art student in Philly who is kind of obsessed with dying my hair. I enjoy learning about body modification and drawing naked people. Ah, and my name is Sarah.

What if gun rights were regulated like abortion rights? Here’s a list of just some of the hoops you’d have to jump through before you could own a gun:
- Only one store in the entire state would sell guns. (See: Mississippi, Arkansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming for states with only one abortion provider.)
- You’d have to fill out an enormous personal background check including intrusive personal information that has nothing to do with your ability to own or use a gun. Then you’d have to wait at least 72 hours and come back to the store. (Remember, it’s the only one in the state. You better hope you don’t live on the other side of Wyoming.)
- Upon your return, you’d have to sit through intensive mandatory counseling. Your counselor, regardless of his personal beliefs, would have to tell you that gun ownership is actually a bad idea, and that it would negatively effect your mental health to own a gun. (This, despite there being no scientific evidence to support the claim.)
- Next, you’d sit through a gruesome movie showing the actual aftermath of domestic gun crimes. You’d see people with half a head. You’d see dead children in their beds. You’d see the bloody aftermath of a school shooting. You’d be shown statistic after statistic warning you that you’d be contributing to this morally degenerate sanctioning of murder.
- If you lived in Virginia, you’d have to come back (again) for an invasive and uncomfortable fMRI (which costs around $300 out of your pocket) to ensure your honesty in answering all the background check information and your intentions to use your gun responsibly. (This was as close as I could get to the invasive transvaginal procedure included in the recently passed Virginia bill.)
- Oh… and if you were married, your spouse might have to sign off on your gun ownership.

Interviewer: Okay. Which designers do you prefer?
Hillary Clinton: What designers of clothes?
Interviewer: Yes.
Hillary Clinton: Would you ever ask a man that question?
Interviewer: Probably not. Probably not.
Like a boss, forever.
I’m sure I’ve reblogged this before, but it never gets old.
As a rule I don’t generally hate people. I hate their beliefs, I hate when they say moronic asinine things, but I don’t hate individuals. There is something about Santorum that’s pushing my limits. I won’t hate him though, because if I hated him, I’d have to hate the millions of people that support his way of thinking, including many of my friends and family.
This man is sickening. To call him a misogynist is an understatement. His hatred of women, and that’s exactly what it is, no matter how we try to word it, is nauseating. In America, in 2012 there is a war on women that is unparalleled to any I’ve ever seen, and I’m a little older than some of you on here. Don’t get me wrong, this is nothing new, as women’s right groups have never been able to stop fighting. What is most shocking to me is the very loud voice our politicians have about the sexual and reproductive rights of women. How dare they attempt to govern our bodies!
If Rick Santorum was a stand alone nut-job it would be upsetting but manageable. Terrifyingly he’s not alone and many in positions to make real changes that will impact our lives look and sound just like Santorum. Am I the only one not just outraged but more than a little scared?

Meet Vermin Supreme, Democratic candidate for president of the United States
And yes, that’s a rubber boot on his head. Mr. Supreme is the only candidate that supports going back in time and killing Hitler before he was born and making tooth brushing mandatory.
If it comes down to a race between this guy and any of the Republicans, this guy gets the vote.
And I could stand by a Constitutional Tooth Brushing amendment.

VIRGINIA GOP STATE SENATE CANDIDATE: A MARRIED WOMAN CAN’T BE RAPED BECAUSE, AFTER ALL, ‘SHE’S IN A NIGHTIE’ | Next Tuesday, Virginia voters will decide whether they want to elect former state Rep. David Black as a state senator. Luckily for Virginians, Black has a substantial record by which to judge him. In 2005, Black proposed investigating all Virginians to see if any Virginians adopting a child were gay. He is also well-known for sending plastic fetuses to lawmakers to advertise his anti-abortion stance. He also fought to allow pharmacies to refuse to sell birth control, or what he called “baby pesticides.” But perhaps Black’s shining moment came when he stood against the prosecution of spousal rape cases in 2002 because, after all, “how on earth could you validly get a conviction in a husband-wife rape when they’re living together, sleeping in the same bed, she’s in a nightie,” he said. “There’s no injury, there’s no separation, or anything.” (HT: Jezebel)
^^I told my husband this - he rolled his eyes, walked back into the kitchen and said that dude is an idiot.
<3Why are douchebags like this in office anywhere?
Despite his extreme views and questionable compassion levels, analysts predict that Black will win the election and once again serve as a Virginia State Senator, where, barring some sort of fairy-based epiphany that leads to a complete change of heart, Black will presumably continue to fight to bring America’s women back to the Dark Ages.

What They did not want you to ever find out is that your generation, the generation born between 1980-1995, actually outnumbers the Baby Boomers. They knew that if you ever turned your eye towards political reform, you could change the world.
They tried to keep you sated on vapid television shows and vapid music. They cut off your education and fed you brain candy. They took away your music and gave you Top Ten pop stations. They cut off your art and replaced it with endless reality shows for you to plug into, hoping you would sit quietly by as They ran the world. I think They thought you were too dumb to notice.
Indeed, I thought They had won.
But I watched you occupy the capital of Wisconsin. I see you today as you occupy Wall Street. And I see a spark, a glimmer of the glorious new age that is yours. A changing of the guard, a guard that has stood for entirely too long and needs your young legs to take his place.
I watch you turn away from what is easy and stand up for what is right. I see you understand we as a society are only as strong as our weakest link. I see you wise beyond your years. And I am proud. Give ‘em hell, kids. You are beautiful. Can this be reblogged everywhere please.

No words.
Just change the world.let’s not end as the generation of apathy.
VOTE, YOU FUCKING KIDS.
Government Orders You Tube To Censor Protest Videos
In a frightening example of how the state is tightening its grip around the free Internet, it has emerged that You Tube is complying with thousands of requests from governments to censor and remove videos that show protests and other examples of citizens simply asserting their rights, while also deleting search terms by government mandate.
The latest example is You Tube’s compliance with a request from the British government to censor footage of the British Constitution Group’s Lawful Rebellion protest, during which they attempted to civilly arrest Judge Michael Peake at Birkenhead county court.
This is what’s called Fascism.
Yeah, you see this? Now is pretty much the time to be scared.
This needs more notes. Get on it people. I will repost this all damn day if I have to. WAKE THE HELL UP IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY I WILL GRAB YOU AND SHAKE YOU.
Yes We LAN!
One side of my fully recognizes the humanity lost that day. The utter chaos, the devastation, the people jumping 100 stories from above, and splattering to their death, the people who left behind unborn children, young children, most of whom barely have memories of their parent(s). I consider…
